I used this M5M base plate on my CB400SB by modifying it slightly to fit onto the Givi special carrier I previously installed. Originally, the carrier is designed for the universal base, but I wanted a cleaner, more modern look—this M5M plate does exactly that.It’s super solid once mounted, and looks way better than the universal base. The lock/unlock mechanism feels smoother too. As long as you have a Givi carrier for monolock, it’s definitely worth upgrading to this plate. I’ve been using it with my E370 case for touring without any issues.

I bought it to install my old E37 to replace my motorcycle.
My impressions compared to the UniversalBase that came with the Box purchase are as follows for what I saw A solid and sturdy product.

The product is satisfactory, but the price is a bit high for an OEM product.
