New 2019 HONDA CB650R / CBR650R Test Ride Review

Motorcycle Reviews

A test rally of the middle-class four-cylinder machine, CB650R, and CBR650R, expected to be released on March 15 was held in Almeria, Southern Spain, in the middle of January. Morebikes of the UK WEB media participated, and I got the photograph so I would like to deliver it in short notice.

Rotating the engine to high speed, the body is even lighter

A long-awaited, new machine appearing in the 600cc class in which the 4-cylinder-equipped new model is not getting readily introduced. The CB650R and CBR650R which changed the model of CB650F and CBR650F of the conventional model, and received refined design with sportiness and motorcycle body refurbished. It was announced at the Milan show in 2018, and as the appearance of domestic specifications was also officially announced, a report of the international test-drive party came in ahead of the launch.

The report sent me to MoreBikes, the British web media. How about the ride of CB & CBR which achieved weight reduction and power up? I will introduce a part of it here in a flash report here.

Unexpected comfort and sportiness

What a surprising diversity! The CB650R and CBR650R share the majority of its components, but they bring a completely different riding feel.

HONDA has produced a number of wonderful bikes for many years, but there are many things that it is difficult to express in one word except for some symbolic models, such as Fire Blade (CBR 1000 RR) and African Twin. I still do not know what I can describe X-ADV. Nonetheless, it is not so important for HONDA, who has succeeded in a very wide range lineup, to bring stimulus to run electric shocks to the spine. HONDA’s machine, which is practical and easy to handle in the real world where we live, rarely surprises us.

However, the two CV650R and CBR650R brand newly tested brought us an unexpected surprise. It is also double. HONDA first tells us that it is a model change focused on increasing power and lightening. The riding position has also changed, and it matches well with the overall sportier package.

As you can see, it seems like I have to attack the limits to capture the fun of this new machine. And, to tell the truth, I was wondering if it was a machine that I could be excited by doing so. Because the traditional “F” model was never a bad motorcycle in the real world. Yes, in order to know the truth there is no choice but the actual run.
