Sumitomo Rubber Industries will release the neo-classical radial tire for motorcycle DUNLOP “TT 100 GP Radial” from March 1, 2019 one after another. Release size is 1 front size, 2 rear size, price is open price.

TT 100 GP Radial is a new concept tire remodeling DUNLOP’s proud name pattern “TT 100 GP” with a radial structure as a tire that corresponds to recent neo-classic boom. Both high designability matching with neo-classic vehicles and running performance of the latest radial tire are compatible, and it corresponds widely from town riding to tooling and winding.

In addition to the main size 2 sizes of neo-classic vehicles to be on sale from March 1, from May, [Front] 1 size for front bias / rear radial vehicles and [conventional] “TT100 GP” (bias structure) [Front] 1 Size is added.

■ Main features and adoption technology

(1) Reproduction of classic patterns

By using the latest simulation technology of DUNLOP, we modified the characteristic continuous wave groove of “TT 100 GP” and realized the optimum rigidity distribution for radial structure. In addition, while inheriting the image by making a part of the groove ultra-thin sipe, it is a neoclassic-like appearance.

In addition to numerous mountain-shaped sipes which can be said as the identity of “TT 100 GP”, we optimized sipe angle and groove bottom shape, and both designability and abrasion resistance were compatible.

(2) Structure and formulation tailored to the latest neo-classic vehicle

By adopting a 2-cut belt structure with high responsiveness to the front and adopting a jointless belt (JLB) structure with high stability on the rear, it is possible to match the neo-classic vehicle with a habitless and manageable characteristic Realization. With the latest silica formulation adopted for the compound, it exhibits high grip power even at wet and low temperature. In addition, high abrasion resistance performance was ensured by blending together silica and high-binding polymer.
