It is a compact yet dynamic styling featuring Naked Road Sports Model · CB650R is develop based on CB650 F, a conventional model equipped with a water cooled 4 DOHC inline 4 cylinder 648cc engine that can enjoy a relaxed rotation feeling. Under the concept of “Middle Sports Roadster excitement in urban lifestyle,” we plan to further reduce the weight, while aging each part of the motorcycle body, undercarriage, power unit, the styling has also been redesigned. Also, as the F series end, the motorcycle name will also be changed to “CB650 R”.

Regarding the body and suspension, we are pursuing weight reduction and high rigidity further by changing the component and manufacturing method of the frame, centralizing mass, adopting aluminum wheels of 5 Y-shaped spokes, etc. It is combined with an inverted front fork, a bottom bridge of aluminum forging, a front brake adopting a radial mount caliper, position adjustment of Separate Handlebar & step, etc., to improve motor performance.

For the power unit, it is tuning various places aiming at improving the output of the high rotation range than the conventional model while maintaining easy-to-handle torque characteristics. It adopts new specification of valve train system, piston shape change, newly designed air cleaner (Twin Intake Duct), etc.
In addition, an assist slipper clutch that alleviates the load of clutch operation and a Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) that alleviates rear wheel slip are newly adopted. It is also taken into consideration for rider’s fatigue reduction and a sense of security.

The biggest feature of styling is a trapezoid proportion with condensation that aimed at centralizing mass common to the new generation CB series. It is compact and dynamic image is laid out by a surface composition which combines edge-ridge and supple curved surface. Body color is a lineup of three colors “candy chromosphere red” with deep shadow impressive, “graphite black” with hard and tight impression, “matte beta silver metallic” with strong metallic texture.
