The HONDA Motorcycle & Scooter India Private Limited, HONDA’s motorcycle production and Sales local corporation based in India, has unveiled the new Activa 125 scooter model equipped with tumble flow and strengthened technology. This world’s first BS6-compliant scooter was launched last June 12 (Wednesday) exactly 11:30 (Japan Time).

The HONDA Activa Series, which consist of Active 110 and Active 125, has been getting compliments from the riders because of its consistent and been adopting the patented Combi Braking System (CBS) aggressively. This model has grown so much and represented the Indian motorcycle market. In fact, it supports the foundation of HONDA’s motorcycle business. Among the 2 models, Activa 125 supported as a model which build up interest to riders.
This time, HONDA came up to this idea of using an eco-friendly engine eSP which India ever produced for the very first time. It is to comply with the new Emission Regulation, which is the BS6 (BHARAT STAGE 6). Its 2-layered structure is provided by forming a division through casting integrally. This is the world’s first ever incorporated technology which creates tumble flow without adding new parts.
*3 The emission regulations is applicable to motorcycles which are produced in India from April 2020.
The combustion efficiency is improved by the turbulent flow which enahances the mixture of the air and fuel. The fuel efficiency performance is improved by 10% over the conventional model which is combined with the adoption of PGM-FI and an idling stop system.
