Comprehensive Review of Configurations: ZRX1100
NOJIMA's ZRX1100
Nojima Engineering named the ZRX1100 of the NJ series, NJ-1, and developed a plan to modify the rear shock from a twin shock to a monoshock as NJ Service. The ZRX1100, which is the favorite vehicle of Wheelie's representative, Yasumitsu Tominaga, is one of the models introduced here. Not only the rear of the ZRX1100 has been replaced with a monoshock, but the frame has also been rebuilt in chromoly. In order to thoroughly pursue dimensional and rigidity balance, the larger-diameter main pipe and down tube were integrated, the engine mounting position was reviewed, and the caster angle was changed. Combined with the progressive effect of the monoshock, traction performance has been greatly improved. The brackets and swingarm are made by Wheelie, and the wheels are Marchesini. The exhaust is hand-bent titanium, and the silencer is Nojima Engineering's top-spec GTS. The pipe collector is Nojima Engineering's SC (spiral collector), which provides both high speed extension and torquey characteristics in the mid to low speed range. The new bike is a complete departure from naked bikes, with no compromises made and performance that surpasses that of supersport bikes.
Bodyworks
The frame-mounted bikini cowl is uniquely sculpted in the style of the ZRX. The endurance race-style headlight may remind you of the former Nojima Engineering's racing bike which was brought into Suzuka 8-hours in the past.
Intake & Exhaust
Hand-bent titanium exhaust. The collecting part is spiral collector, and the silencer is Nojima Engineering's highest spec GTS silencer, enhancing its high-class atomosphere.
Handle
The representative of Wheelie, Mr. Tominaga himself was deeply involved in the development of the NJ series, and Nojima Engineering's products were used for various parts in the bike. Billet bracket is one of Nojima Engineering's specialty products.
Chassis
The frame is made of chromoly steel, and its pipe diameter is different from that of the stock frame. The engine mounting position and caster angle have also been changed and will provide a different performance from the stock ZRX.
Wheelie's bracket supports Ohlins front fork. Rebuilt dimensions, including caster angle set at 1 degree. The fork bottom is also made by Wheelie.
The swingarm of the NJ series is made by Wheelie. The caliper support, stand hook are also made by Wheelie, and the wheels are Marchesini.
Electrical
The carbon meter panel has a tachometer in the center and digital meters on the left and right, creating a sporty atmosphere. Lever holders are made by Wheelie.
